The Touch the Stars Game Jam is in full swing, our Summer Sale is winding down to an end (be sure to check it out before the 12th!), but that doesn't mean we can take a break from release day! This week we have a stunning new tile pack, and the perfect music pack to perk up the light parts of your game!
Give your heroes some solid footing with MT Terrains! Rayane Félix has created a variety of floor and wall tiles to give your maps even more personality. With autotiles set up to make layouts for places like marshlands, crystal caverns, and deserts, you can take simple flat maps and turn them into multi-level dungeons to explore!
With multiple sheets of A2 tiles, a full A4 set that covers different grounds, and 10 A5 sheets for different terrains with matching rocks, creating the base map for all sorts of areas is easy. Grab the brown rocky cliffs and thick yellow grass to make a fabulous fall field, or send your heroes to an icy tundra with chilly blue ground and snow-capped rocks. If forests or plains are more common in your game, then grab some of the different dirt tiles and grasses to give each area a new look.
Also included in this pack is MT Terrains Plus, which offers even more ways to craft your maps so they perfectly fit your vision! With diagonal wall options for each type of wall it’s simple to turn your boxy dungeon into a creepy and wild cave. And if you prefer to map outside of the editor, then grab the tilesets that are already set up for use with tiled! So if you’ve been wanting to give your outdoor and cave maps some new bones, pick up MT Terrains today!
Add some cheer and liveliness to your game with the Casual and Social Games music pack! This pack’s 15 songs cover a variety of situations, like silliness at a farm, relaxing on a beach, or perky town tunes.
Bring your game’s rural farms to life with songs full of fiddles and banjos! A twangy banjo-focused tune can turn a farming game’s chores into an enjoyable experience, or just remind the player that they’ve left the big city far behind. If your characters need a break from their busy lives then steel drums can turn a simple beach map into a relaxing vacation spot, perfect for your players to spend a few minutes resting before they get back to the main story. Or give the club they visit in town a chill vibe with a soft jazz tune.
If your game has a dark twist partway through its happy story, this pack has you covered! A few of the songs have a creepier style, with deep brass or heavy metal inspiration. Turn your player’s happy day at the fair into a nightmare they need to escape, or that late night walk home into something that feels much more spooky.
Each song comes in multiple formats so that you can easily use it in your favorite engines! If you need some new happy tunes to add to your maps and scenes, then check out Casual and Social Games!
MZ’s default windowskin is nice, but could be considered a bit too sci-fi inspired for some games. But making a custom windowskin is tough, so what’s a dev to do? If the premade options out there aren’t striking your fancy, then you need to check out Blackxwolf’s Build-A-Windowskin!
Release day is here again, and this week we have three new packs to sink your teeth into! Heroine Character Generator 2 has made the jump to MZ, trot the globe with the first World Music Pack, and head to the stars with Tyler Cline's SciFi Music Pack.
