It's a beautiful Summer Release day! Sales abound, and we have even more to add to the RPG Maker resource repository. Two new pixel based packs make their way to the store!
Summer is here and a lot of people are looking out to spend some time at the beach… but what if that beach was beautifully pixelated and your characters could chill there?
The Super Retro World Exterior Pack lives up to its name, as it is Retro, it helps you to create your own maps for a world to fill with life and it is super!
The super retro world you make with this set can include many things: Included are the tiles to make a nice beach, complete with a matching modern boat, water, a palm tree, beach houses and clutter. You can also make a forest area with beautiful pine trees in various sizes and all the pieces to make that forest take place in a mountainous or rocky area if you so choose.
With a selection of premade houses you can make everything from a remote farm, including some neat crops, to a small town. And if the way from the mountain town to the beach is too long, well, just take the beautiful plane waiting for you to use!
Super Retro World - Exterior does not come with sprites, but it will blend well with most of the available Retro sprite options plus, these tiles are set up with options to work with VX/Ace or MV/MZ.
So what are you waiting for? Check them out.
Getting high quality artwork that matches your game can be extremely difficult - especially if you aim for a pixelated style, which makes filling up the whole screen very difficult and time consuming.
But worry not, the Japan Collection Background is here and it is ready to use!
With a total of 15 pixelated sceneries there is really not much left to ask for. If your game uses a pixelated style and is set in modern Japan, this is a must have! You get a neat selection of views in bright colors that look like they were transported directly from the real world. With mostly urban and some rural options there are a lot of different looking locations available that makes these incredibly versatile.
They also come in all different sizes, file formats and even with a looping animated gif version each, it is more difficult to name a place where you can’t use them then the other way around. They can serve as animated title screens, game over options, backgrounds for cutscenes, chapter titles, or fights, you could even consider making a visual novel with them!
So no need to pack your bags, your short trip to Japan is just one download away!
MZ’s default windowskin is nice, but could be considered a bit too sci-fi inspired for some games. But making a custom windowskin is tough, so what’s a dev to do? If the premade options out there aren’t striking your fancy, then you need to check out Blackxwolf’s Build-A-Windowskin!
Release day is here again, and this week we have three new packs to sink your teeth into! Heroine Character Generator 2 has made the jump to MZ, trot the globe with the first World Music Pack, and head to the stars with Tyler Cline's SciFi Music Pack.
