Are you using the RPG Maker MV Tilesets and want some curved cave and cliff walls? Then look no further than MrPyramidHead's materials!
Recently there was a tutorial on the blog on how to make curved walls, but I know not everyone has the time and patience to tackle doing it themselves. Sometimes you just want to put the files into your project and start mapping a beautiful landscape without having to do all that work yourself.
And Mr Pyramid delivers the perfect shortcut for everyone who owns RPG Maker MV:
Look at this beautiful map! Curved rock walls, beautifully made rock stairs, great custom water - it shows most of the things you can expect in this thread. And on the screen you can see how much of an impact it makes when you use them!
And talking about curved rocky walls, he doesn't just have exterior tiles for you!
He also added variations for natural looking caves to be explored by your heroes! There are two types of caves that can be found here and they match the exterior tiles, which allows you to have a smooth transition from exterior mountains to interior cave.
And no matter what climate your game takes place, you can be positive you will find the matching variations:
All the sets come with all needed curves, edges, and cave entrances to map the landscape you want to achieve.
In addition to the walls and variations which you can find on B/C/D sheets (as MV did not have the transparency on A tiles that MZ has), you will find even more treasures in this thread!
First up, all sets come with matching A tiles.
There is usually an A1 sheet with all the different water tiles you need to achieve that stunningly beautiful transparent looking water that you probably don’t get anywhere else. To make that possible without MZs possibilities, Mr Pyramid had the tile split up into several sections so you have to puzzle a bit on your map to get the water set up. The result is so pretty that the work is really worth it!
In addition, there is an A2 sheet with ground tiles for all paths and additional different ground shades.
The A5 sheet then brings the base you need to map your landscape, that is then expanded and refined by the options on the B sheet.
These are the core part of the thread and on their own already give you a good reason to visit it.
But there is a single extra though outside of those in the thread, that deserves being mentioned as well:
This well-made preconstructed shrine can be dropped as parallax on any of your maps and could inspire whole new sections in your game. Is it a shrine in use, maybe of the main religion in your setting? Is it a monastery? Or maybe it is a forgotten place you visit in your early game, just to find out it has been taken over by new people later and see it restored?
Who knows! But you'll find it, along with all those wonderful curved natural wall tiles in MrPryamid's Stuff on the forums!
