We’ve all done it: set up our Items in the database or name our switches early in the project and part-way through development realize we want to add another level to our potions or need an extra switch, meaning we need to either accept our potions being out of order in our players’ menus or painstakingly going through all our events to change the commands so the right items or switches are in the right places. All of that drains our time and energy when we could be making more progress on our game’s story. There has to be a better way…
